On Wednesday 19 February students from the Minerva Centre visited the Calvert Trust situated on Kielder Water. We were shown round by senior instructor Jane Dolbear.
This gave us a very clear idea about how the Calvert Trust operates. It can accommodate all types of people and work round their diabilities, creating specific programmes for each individual. Taster days can be organised as well as weekend breaks. For futher information go to http://www.calvert-trust.org.uk/kielder/kielder
Many thanks to the Calvert Trust for showing us around.
The group also visited the Bird of Prey Centre where Raymond fed a vulture and Stephie was reunitied with her adopted owl.
This trip was made possible by the Sustainable Development Fund of the Northumberland National Park.
