Stephie Wesson, a student at the Minerva Centre has recently been asked show her work at The Gallery in Bellingham.

Stephie creates characters from another world that she then draws paints or illustrates in other suitable media.

"My characters are an extension of myself, they are complex people/animals called Cryptaloids. . When I envision them, their colours and personalities inspire me to paint and write stories about them; they have given me strength and insight into another dimension"

Stephie has been drawing from the age of three and has been coming to Minerva for three and a half years. Stephie is also writing a novel featuring the characters she has created; this is near completion.

The Gallery can be found at the fruit and vegetable shop in Bellingham.
