There are many opportunities for people with learning difficulties in Hexham, Tynedale and the wider Northumberland area, not least The Minerva Centre where students have the opportunity to take arts-related courses in such subjects as painting and pottery.
The courses provide a safe, creative environment for students (friends) to learn within, and are also designed to engage the student in such a way that builds self-esteem, confidence, teamwork, pride, self & social inclusion and communication skills.
